Five weeks ago today, I birthed our daughter after 36 hours of labour. She is our daughter, she is Max’s little sister, & she is the last little person I know that we will have, because although I know it’s only early days yet – I just … know.
I feel complete. And I feel like she completes this family.
Her name is Frankie Jean, & she is the prettiest little thing I have ever seen. She is fair skinned, & she is dark haired, & she has these sweet baby blue eyes that I suspect will become hazel – like her older brother. In fact, her looks alone take me right back to when I first laid eyes on her older brother back in 2010.
I’ve been spending these last five weeks deep within that newborn cave just getting to know her, & allowing her older brother to get to know her, & then allowing the four of us to all come together as our brand new family of four, & it’s all just been both exhausting, & beautiful.
But mostly beautiful.
Welcome to the world sweet Frankie. Your happy childhood starts now.
